Author, wife, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister.
Jayne’s husband of 31 years unexpectedly passed away in 2005, causing her to sell their home and move from Illinois to Ohio. Four years later, she began dating again. Borrowing from Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet,’ “To thine own self be true,” she knew that being a wife suited her best.
Jayne chose her moniker, JnG2byfaith, after meeting her current husband, who lived in Oregon then, and she, Ohio. They believed that if it were not for the grace of God, they would never have met, and they strive to live by faith, not by sight.
She performed clerical duties for three churches, two chiropractors, and two physical therapists. She has led women’s bible studies and trained adults and children in puppeteering.
Jayne has written poetry and other prose, yet unpublished. Based on five years of puppet skit writing based on scripture and directing, she plans to write a book on how to start a puppet ministry, write scripts, to be creative with props and staging.
She has three adult children, two sons-in-law and one grandson.
Since her retirement in 2022, she has been the caretaker for her elderly parents, enjoys flower gardening, volunteering in church ministries, and visiting with her grandson, Morgan. Providential Journey, a historical Christian fiction series, begins with the prequel, ‘Birth of a Legacy,’ published in November 2022, followed by ‘Journey to Redemption.’ In the next novel, ‘Journey of a Lifetime,’ the reader accompanies Edzard and his wife on a wagon, carriage, stagecoach, flatboat, steamboat, and clipper ship before reaching their mission field.
